Most Expensive Resorts 2005
|
Made up of 115 islands in a remote section
of the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles is one
of the most exotic places in the world to
take a vacation; and Frégate Island
Private is one of the more luxurious places
to stay once there. With 16 villas and a
maximum of 40 guests, Frégate island
is a 20-minute flight from the Seychellois
capital, Mahé. The resort was designed
to blend into the surrounding environment,
and the villas are made of mahogany grown
on the island and African teak. From Dec.
20 through Jan. 7, the minimum stay is seven
nights, and the per-couple nightly room
rate is $2550, which includes three meals
a day, but excludes a 15% tax and service
charge, and the $1823 round-trip, per-couple
charge for helicopter transfer from Mahé.
